About ASPNM
Since 1985, the Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico has offered therapeutic recreational activities to children and adults with disabilities. Today, ASPNM proudly offers a wide variety of adaptive sports year round, including skiing, snowboarding, watersports, river rafting, archery, rock climbing and more.
Programs are open to children and adults with disabilities at locations throughout New Mexico. Some programs are open to family members and caregivers. Veteran-specific programs are offered periodically throughout the year. If you are interested in getting involved as an athlete, volunteer, or supporter, please contact us for more information.

How Can I Help ASPNM?
By supporting the Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico, you help create inclusive opportunities for hundreds of children, adults, and veterans with disabilities to fully participate in recreational sports and activities. From adaptive skiing and rock climbing to archery and river rafting, your generosity helps remove barriers and make sure everyone can experience the joy, challenge, and connection these activities bring.
There are many ways to support ASPNM—from volunteering your time and talents, to making a donation, to participating in our annual fundraisers. However you choose to give, you help create opportunities, build confidence, and have an impact.

Indoor Rock Climbing - Next event on March 27th
Our next climbing event will be Friday, March 27th
The next Indoor Climbing @ Stone Age Climbing Gym in Albuquerque will be held Friday, March 27th!
This event is a partnership between ASPNM & the awesome team at Stone Age Climbing Gym. Individuals with all types of disabilities are welcome, regardless of age or level of experience!
Climb higher, build confidence, and join a community that loves a challenge. This is your chance to try something new, push your limits, and have a blast doing it!
- Every 4th Friday of the month
- North Gym on Alameda located at 6200 Alameda Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113
- 5 pm to 6:30 pm (Group One)
- 6:30 pm to 8 pm (Group Two)
While this program has previously been offered at no cost, we are introducing a $10 registration fee to help us better manage capacity and attendance.
We never want cost to be a barrier—scholarships are available and must be requested in advance using this link.
All participants must be registered in advance. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Registration fees are non-refundable unless cancellation occurs at least 48 hours prior to the program.
It is with great sadness that we are share the loss of a well loved member of the ASP community, Aaron Michael Ohlhausen. Our sincere condolences extend to the Ohlhausen family.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this sad news. We recently lost one of our former board members, volunteers, and true friend of our ASPNM community. Wesley Daniels passed away on May 15th, 2024.
Our deepest condolences go out to Wes's family and friends. He will be missed by our entire ASPNM community!
