Whatever your age, ability level, experience, or schedule, the Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico has something for you. From the thrill of downhill skiing to a serene day of kayaking or sailing, ASPNM strives to offer the best possible programs for people with disabilities to experience outdoor recreation in New Mexico. By investing in innovative adaptive equipment and training for our dedicated volunteer instructors, we hope to offer you the chance to get outside all year long at one of our sport programs.

WINTER PROGRAM

SKIING / SNOWBOARDING:

 

Since 1985, The Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico has made the slopes of Ski Santa Fe and Sandia Peak available to people with disabilities. ASPNM offers Multi-Week Ski and Snowboard lessons that run from mid-January to early March, with registration beginning each year in September. Multi-Week lessons are offered in Santa Fe on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Multi-Week Lessons are offered at Sandia Peak on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Students may participate in either a two-hour morning or afternoon session. Full and partial scholarships are available to those who qualify. ASPNM owns adaptive ski equipment to allow people of all ability levels to enjoy skiing!


The Adaptive Sports Program also offers Private lessons on a reservation basis and with at least 2-weeks’ notice requested. All ASP Private Lessons take please at Ski Santa Fe. If you are planning a trip to Santa Fe, or you are a local who wants to take lessons outside of the Multi-Week program, contact us about Private Ski Lessons.

SPRING / SUMMER / FALL PROGRAMS

During the summer months, we offer many multi-week, single-day, and overnight Adaptive Sports events. Spring/Summer/Fall Programs are also open to paying family members, caregivers, or companions of athletes with disabilities, with family rates available. So, bring the family for a fun day out! Please see our calendar for a current list of activities, or click "Register Now" to sign up.

WATER SKIING / WAKEBOARDING / WAKESURFING:

ASPNM has adaptive water skiing and wakeboarding equipment for all ability levels. If you love water and speed, the thrill of adaptive water skiing may be for you! Waterskiing is available at most ASPNM lake events.

ROCK CLIMBING:

Our trained volunteers and specialized equipment enable climbers of all ability levels to scale a rock wall. At both indoor and outdoor venues, reach new heights with rock climbing!

KAYAKING:

Paddle yourself across the smooth waters of one of New Mexico’s scenic lakes! Kayaking can be wonderfully relaxing, or great exercise. Kayaking is available at most ASPNM lake events, with indoor programs available as well.

PADDLEBOARDING:

Come see why paddleboarding is such a popular and growing watersport! Paddleboarding is available at most ASPNM lake events.

RIVER RAFTING:

Experience the beautiful and scenic Rio Grande, which lead to adventure as you approach the river rapids.

GOLF:

Our growing golf programs and experienced instructors make the sport available to our students of all ability levels.

SAILING:

Sailing can be a thrill, or a calm way to experience the lakes of New Mexico, or both! Sailing is available at most ASPNM lake events.

FISHING:

Fishing is available at most ASPNM lake events (permit required). Fly fishing is also available.

YOGA:

New program! Give your mind and body some TLC with ASPNM's Yoga programs.
