ADAPTIVE SPORTS PROGRAM NEW MEXICO
COVID-19 OPERATIONS PLAN

Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico (ASPNM) continues to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic by staying up to date on current national, state, and local public health guidance. Additionally, we operate within the guidelines of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Move United, a national adaptive sports organization of which ASPNM is a chapter.

Disclaimer:
This plan is subject to change without notice. ASPNM will continue to follow national, state, and local public health requirements and recommendations. We are dedicated to the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, athletes, and community.

Staff, Volunteers, Participants, Family and General Community Guidelines:
As of October 24, 2023, Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico will continue to encourage all staff, volunteers, participants and families to be fully vaccinated against COVID – 19. However, this is no longer a requirement to participate in Adaptive Sports Program New Mexico events. Follow this link for CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19 vaccinations
 up-to-date.

Covid-19 Symptom Screening:
Participants and volunteers are asked to self-screen prior to their arrival at their ASPNM lesson/event. If a participant or volunteer has been in recent close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, feels unwell, or has any of the following Covid-19 symptoms, we ask that they stay home:

  • Temperature of 100.4 / Fever
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle pain
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

If you develop symptoms and/or test positive for COVID-19, please stay home and notify ASPNM if you were present for an ASPNM event within the past 5 days. Notification can be made by email at info@aspnm.org or by phone at (505) 570-5710.

Mask Policy:
ASPNM will follow the New Mexico Department of Health and host establishment (i.e., ski areas, climbing gym, campgrounds) mask policies in place at the time.

Hand Hygiene:
ASPNM will provide hand sanitizer at all events and encourage frequent hand washing.

Cancellation Policies:
In order to receive a refund, notice of cancellation must be given more than 48 hours prior to the start of the lesson. Cancellation can be done via phone at 505.570.5710 ext.1 or email at
info@ASPNM.org. If you are symptomatic within 48 hours of your lesson and need to cancel, please provide notice as soon as possible, and a refund will be provided.

Covid-19 Restrictions and/or Shutdown Contingency:
In the event the program is unable to operate due to Covid-19 restrictions and/or a shutdown, no refunds will be issued. Instead, you will be eligible to receive a credit towards next year’s registration fees.

As of October 24, 2023, ASPNM reserves the right to revise this plan as guidance may change over the course of the next year.
